Anti-Adhesive Flux-Cored Wires – For Metal-to-Metal Sliding and Galling
Anti-adhesive (anti-galling )flux-cored wires are developed for surfaces where metal-to-metal contact, boundary lubrication and sliding cause adhesive wear, scuffing and seizure. Their weld metal forms a tough, often work-hardening or low-friction surface that minimizes material transfer between mating parts.
These wires are used in maintenance to rebuild shafts, seating surfaces and sliding guides, creating a functional layer that resists welding-together of surfaces.
Typical Applications
• Rebuilding shafts, bearing journals and bearing seats
• Hardfacing slideways, guides and clamping surfaces
• Repairingpress tools and forming tools subject to galling
• Surfaces running with limited lubrication or frequent start–stop
Key Features
• High resistance to scuffing, galling and adhesive transfer
• Smooth deposits suitable for low-friction surfaces
• Often work-hardening in service, improving load capacity
• Can be used as a functional layer over structural build-up welds
