Tungsten Carbide Flux-Cored Wires – Surfacing for Extreme Wear Zones
Tungsten carbide flux-cored wires areused to create ultra-resistant overlays on components operating in the harshest abrasion and gouging conditions. Instead of replacing heavily worn parts, these wires allow you to rebuild and armor critical surfaces in situ, with fused carbide particles embedded in a tough metallic matrix.
Typical Applications
• Rebuilding and armoring mixer paddles, augers and screw conveyors
• Protective overlays on crusher teeth, edges and cones
• Surfacing of slurry pump inlets, volutes and high-velocity slurry parts
• Extreme wear areas in mining, quarrying and wood-chipping equipment
Key Features
• Very high resistance to severe abrasion and gouging
• Carbide-reinforced overlay for maximum service life
• Designed as a wear layer over build-up / buffer deposits
• Usually finished by grinding rather than machining
