Impact Resistant Flux-Cored Wires – Rebuilding Under Shock and Impact

Impact resistant flux-cored wires are designed for rebuilding and hardfacing components subjected to repeated impact, shock loads and combined impact–abrasion. Their deposits are tough and crack-resistant, with controlled hard phases that provide wear protection without becoming brittle.

They are used both as a final surface where impact is dominant, and as an intermediate layer beneath higher-hardness alloys in multi-layer systems.

Typical Applications
           •    Repairing crusher hammers, impact plates and housing areas
           •  Rebuilding drag chain links, pins, shoes and sprockets
           •   Surfacing heavy drop zones, transfer points and bunkers
           •    Buffer layers under carbide-rich or extreme abrasion wires

Key Features
           •    High toughness and resistance to impact-induced cracking
           •     Good performance in mixed impact + abrasion conditions
           •     Suitable for multi-layer build-ups and structural repairs
           •    Many grades can be machined or finish-ground after welding
